ordered flags at Oregon public institutions to be flown
at half-staff until sunset on February 15 to honor
Gresham Firefighter Brandon Norbury, who
died after
suffering cardiac arrest
while on duty.

became one of the 20th century’s most
celebrated songwriters with hits
such as Walk on By and Raindrops Keep
Fallin’ on My Head, has died. He was 94.

Charles Nowlin Thomas (April 7, 1937 – January 31, 2023)

(FOXNEWS) – Musician Charlie Thomas has died at the age
of 85 after battling liver cancer.

Thomas was a singer best known for his work with The
Drifters
. He was performing with The Five Crowns at the
Apollo Theater in 1958 when George Treadwell fired his
group, called
The Drifters. Treadwell recruited the Five
Crowns to become the new Drifters.


The new Drifters’ first release was the 1959 hit "There Goes
My Baby
".

Lemongello Jr., also a musician, noted the funeral will be
held Feb. 16 at First Baptist Church of Glenarden in
Landover, Maryland.
