SANDY KOZEL

Former Nazi official Adolf Eichmann was sentenced to death in Jerusalem by an Israeli court on this  day in 1961. He had been
tried on charges for organizing the deportation of Jews to
concentration camps.

Walter Elias "Walt" Disney died in Los Angeles on this day in 1966.

The movie "Gone With the Wind," produced by David O. Selznick
based on the novel by Margaret Mitchell, premiered at Loew’s
Grand Theater in Atlanta on this day in 1939. The epic film starred  
Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable.

Francis Albert Sinatra  (December 12, 1915 – May 14, 1998)

Singer, actor, and producer Frank Sinatra was one of the most popular
and influential musical artists of the 20th century. He is one of the best-
selling music artists of all time, selling more than 150 million records
worldwide. Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Italian immigrants, Sinatra
began his musical career in the swing era with bandleaders Harry James
and Tommy Dorsey.

CAMILLE BOHANNON

The United States entered World War II on this day in 1941 when
it declared war against Japan. The act came one day after the
Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Britain and Canada also declared
war on Japan.

In New York City on this day in 1980, Mark David Chapman shot
John Lennon to death. Lennon had autographed an album for
Chapman earlier in the day .

Jefferson Davis died in New Orleans on this day in 1889. He was the
first and only president of the Confederate States of America.

It was rock ‘n’ roll’s darkest day, Saturday December 6, 1969,
when the Rolling Stones decided to play a ‘free’ concert at the 
abandoned Altamont Speedway some 60 miles east of San
Francisco. Four people ended up dead.

America’s first attempt at putting a satellite into orbit failed when the satellite blew up on the launch pad at Cape Canaveral, FL. on this
day in 1957.

David Warren Brubeck
(December 6, 1920 – December 5, 2012)

Dave Brubeck was an jazz pianist and composer, considered to be 
one of the foremost exponents of cool jazz. He wrote a number of 
jazz standards, including "In Your Own Sweet Way" and "The Duke”.

Walter Elias Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966)

Animator- producer Walt Disney founded The Walt Disney Company and
created the iconic character Mickey Mouse and others. He produced such
classic films as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) Pinocchio (1940)  
and Cinderella (1950).

Little Richard (Richard Wayne Penniman) is 85 years old today.

Rock ‘n’ roll icon Little Richard who sang "Good Golly Miss Molly” was inducted
into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He first
performed onstage when he was fourteen. His first single "Tutti Fritti” was
released in 1955.
 
On April 28, 2016, Little Richard’s friend, Bootsy Collins stated on his Facebook
page that, "he (Richard) is not in the best of health so I ask all the Funkateers to
lift him up” and on May 3, 2016, Rolling Stone reported that Little Richard and his
lawyer provided a health information update in which Richard stated, “I’m still
singing. I don’t perform like I used to, but I have my singing voice, I walk around,
I had hip surgery a while ago but I’m healthy.”

Little Richard is now a Seventh-day Adventist Christian and is seen
here in a recent interview with no wig or make up.
