The cover of "LIFE" magazine showed the latest in campus fashions of the times, which included saddle shoes.

Tom Jones, is a Welsh singer, who  the mid 1960s, has sung many styles of
popular music – pop, rock, R&B, show tunes, country, dance, techno, soul and
gospel. He has sold over 100 million records. Jones began singing at an early
age: he would regularly sing at family gatherings, weddings, and in his school
choir. Tom Jones became the front man for Tommy Scott and the Senators, a
Welsh beat group, in 1963. They gained a local following and reputation in
South Wales.

“It’s Not Unusual” was the first hit for Jones in America, peaking at
#10 in May of 1965. It also reached #3 on Billboard’s Easy Listening
Chart.  It has since become Jones’ signature song.

Jessica Tandy became the oldest actress to receive the Academy Award for
Best Actress for her role in Driving Miss Daisy (1989), for which she also won
a BAFT and a Golden Globe, and was nominated for an Academy Award for
Best Supporting Actress for Fried Green Tomatoes (1991). She was named
as one of People’s “50 Most Beautiful People” in 1990.
