FORMER CCR MEMBER IS 69 TODAY
Songwriter and singer John Fogerty is best known for his time with the
band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) and as a solo recording
artist. He was listed at number 40 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of
100 Greatest Guitarists and number 72 on the list of 100 Greatest
Singers. One of his earlier bands was called The Blue Velvets.

FIRST CARTOON IN 3D ON THIS DAY IN 1953
The Walt Disney short cartoon was shown at Disneyland in the
Fantasyland Theater as part of the 3D Jamboree. This film was
the first in a proposed series of shorts teaching the principles of
music, called Adventures in Music. Only one other film in the series
was made, Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom.
