TONY DOW IS 70 YEARS OLD TODAY
Tony Lee Dow was born in Hollywood, California.
Dow played Wally Cleaver on the CBS/ABC television series,
“Leave it to Beaver” (1957-1963). The sitcom earned him a
Former Child Star "Lifetime Achievement" Award. As a teen
he was a Junior Olympics diving champion.

RECORDED ON THIS DAY IN 1954
“Rock Around The Clock” was recorded on the third floor of the
Pythian Temple Studios at 135 West 70th Street in New York City.
The Pythian (above) was in use as a recording studio
for over fifteen years. Other artists who recorded there
included Buddy Holly.
