JACKIE WILSON (JUNE 9, 1934 – JAN. 21, 1984)
Jackie Wilson was one of the most influential artists of his generation. A two-time
Grammy Hall of Fame Inductee, Wilson was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of
Fame in 1987. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Jackie Wilson #68 on their
list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
Rare footage of Jackie Wilson performing two of his biggest
hits, "Higher and Higher"(1967) and "Lonely Teardrops"(1958)
on a coast to coast televised show from 1974, with the intro
by Del Shannon and Roy Orbison.

DONALD DUCK DEBUTED ON THIS DATE IN 1934
The Wise Little Hen is a Walt Disney’s Silly Symphonies cartoon, based on
the fairy tale The Little Red Hen. The cartoon marked the debut of Donald
Duck. It was released on June 9, 1934.
