On this day in 1924, fourteen-year-old Bobby Franks was murdered in a 
"thrill killing" committed by Nathan Leopold Jr. and Richard Loeb. The
killers were students at the University of Chicago.

Nathan Leopold (left) and his partner Richard Loeb. (right) confessed
that they had kidnapped and murdered Bobby Franks solely for the
thrill of the experience.
