Aretha Louise Franklin (March 25, 1942 – August 16, 2018)
Aretha Franklin, the “Queen of Soul” has died after a battle with advanced
pancreatic cancer.
Franklin received numerous honors throughout her career including a 1987 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in which she became the first
female performer to be inducted.
Flowers and tributes are placed on the star for Aretha Franklin on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. (AFP)
