VOICE ACTOR HAS DIED AT 64

Lee Marshall (Marshall Aaron Mayer) (November 28, 1949 – April 26, 2014)

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) — Lee Marshall, one of the actors who supplied the
voice of Tony the Tiger in commercials, died on Saturday, April 26 at a Santa 
Monica hospital of esophageal cancer.

Marshall began voicing the Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes mascot in 1999, filling in for
the original actor, Thurl Ravenscroft. His career included radio newsman, rock ‘n’
roll disc jockey, sports broadcaster, and a pro wrestling ring interviewer.

a frequent guest on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.

Rickles remains very active on the stand-up comedy scene and has
no plans to retire, as he recently stated in an interview. "I’m in good
health. I’m working better than I ever have. The audiences are great.
