Paul Gardner Allen (January 21, 1953 – October 15, 2018)

Business magnate, investor and philanthropist Paul Allen co-founded
Microsoft alongside Bill Gates in 1975. He owned two professional
sports teams: the
Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League
and the
Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association,
and was part-owner of the
Seattle Sounders FC, which joined Major
League
Soccer
in 2009. Allen died in Seattle from complications of
non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

seasons. “I Love Lucy” became the most watched show in
the United States in four of its six seasons, and was the first
to end its run at the top of the Nielsen ratings. In 2012, “I Love
Lucy” was voted the ‘Best TV Show of All Time’ in a survey
conducted by ABC News
and People Magazine.

ICONIC SLIPPERS TO GO BACK ON DISPLAY

Fans of “The Wizard of Oz” looking for a glimpse of the iconic ruby slippers are in for a treat.

(Fox News) – Fans of “The Wizard of Oz” looking for a glimpse of the ruby
slippers are in for a treat.

The National Museum of American History revealed on Twitter Friday the
famous shoes from the celebrated movie are being put back on display.

The museum said “After their journey to the museum’s Conservation Lab,
they are stabilized, sparkling clean, and ready to be on view for years to
come.”  

Oct. 19 kicks off the “opening weekend of the Ruby Slippers gallery,” as
well as other displays, the museum said
on its website, after the shoes
paid a visit to the conservation lab for restoration.
